Weddings at Springgrove Estate Shed

If you are dreaming of a wedding filled with rustic elegance, charm, or vintage glamour, this is the place for you. A beautiful blend of rustic charm and upscale elegance.

Springgrove Estate Shed offers a quintessential pastoral wedding backdrop on many acres of rolling hills and ancient granite boulders which will have you and your guests gasping at its natural beauty.

“The adjacent forest next to the Springgrove Cottages is the ideal open air setting for your outdoor wedding ceremony. The tall gum trees create the feel of a natural cathedral, adding intrigue and mystery to the occasion.”

The Venue

Imagine rays of sunlight filtering through the gum trees as the sun is setting on the horizon, illuminating the historic structure of the century-old, charm-restored sheep shearing shed on Springgrove Estate.

Imagine the moment that you have been waiting for, seemingly stop, as the twilight gives up its light to the twinkle of a chandelier lit ceiling suspended overhead. Imagine a place where rustic marries elegance.

Imagine your closest friends and family enjoying the unique sandstone fireplace in the elegant (yet rustic) dining area where the wooden tables are adorned with candles and white linen, amongst the ancient timber frame structure.

We are a year-round venue and cater for all weather types. Situated in Mpumalanga, one must always be ready for four seasons in one day. Remember that your wedding is really about you as a couple, and if a small intimate experience is what you wish for without any distractions, then you have come to the right wedding venue and estate.

Ceremony Options

The Stone Bell Chapel

The Stone Bell Chapel has the most magnificent view that overlooks the timber forests, pastures, grand old Oak trees, ancient granite boulders and bird dam in the distance. We have placed an antique bell at the entrance to the chapel which can be rung, signalling the much anticipated arrival of the bride. The chapel (which has a wide, extra length aisle), can comfortably seat 90 guests and is made up of sandstone, corrugated iron, wood, split poles and glass. The front of the chapel is covered with glass panels so that the bridal party and minister are protected from the wind and the rain at all times.

The Forest Chapel

The Forest Chapel, which is an ideal rustic open air setting, will embrace your soul with the comforting sound of nature. The tall gum trees create the feel of a natural cathedral. It is built in the centre of a thick timber forest just past our Springgrove Cottages and overlooks our biggest dam. The chapel consists of a big cleared out section in the forest with tree stump/wooden benches on either side of the cement aisle which can comfortably seat 90 x guests. There is a separate table with two seats, where you will be able to sign your register and your guests will be able to witness this moment with you. There is an antique bell attached to a tree trunk at the entrance to the forest chapel which can be rung, signalling the much anticipated arrival of the bride.

The New Scotland Manor House

Set the scene for your ceremony along the 100m manicured green lawn with the ivy covered walls of the New Scotland Manor House as your backdrop. An exquisite setting to say your vows. Use the wooden front door area with its red steps as a pulpit.

Bridal Party Accommodation

The New Scotland Manor House

The Bridal party get to enjoy this grand old Manor House. It stems from the original farmhouse which was built on the farm circa 1884. It has since then been restored and renovated and shaped into the magnificent house as it stands today. Covered in green ivy during the summer months, it truly is a one of its kind manor house in the area. It now functions as a weekend home and/or self-catering house for the use of weddings. Please note that the house is for the bridal party.
